Life

Mary Isham, daughter of Captain Henry Isham and Katherine Banks, was born 10 October 1659 at Bermuda Hundred, Henrico County, Virginia.1 She married Colonel William Randolph.2,1 She died 29 December 1735 at Turkey Island, Henrico County.1

She should not be confused with Mary Royall, daughter of Katherine Banks by her first husband Joseph Royall, who was her half-sister.1 Sir Edward Brett's will of 22 December 1682, proved 17 March 1683/4, left legacies among the descendants of his sister Mary Brett, wife of William Isham;3 Northamptonshire Families notes that Henry Isham's surviving daughters Anne (wife of Francis Epes) and Mary (wife of William Randolph) were among those who benefited.1

William Randolph and Mary Isham had several children who survived to adulthood, including William Randolph II, Elizabeth Randolph, Mary Randolph, Isham Randolph, Richard Randolph, Henry Randolph, Edward Randolph, and Sir John Randolph.2
